If you are looking to meet international tourists, you would want to be near the Vashisht Hot Spring Baths. For a more local flavor, old town is great too! I recommend the Hotel Beas View @Rs.400/- a night for a double room with all amenities and 24 hour hot water, it is worth the price.

Charas is illegal in India, though the law doesn't necessarily stop its consumption. Nobody offers to sell it on the streets, but you have to be proactive yet discreet about its availability.

Re: Manali

hello, I was going to Manali in february and had a couple questions. You'll hear of a deer, elk, moose and caribou being in "velvet" in the spring. This is during the antler growing period where the antler is covered with a fuzzy skin, which the animal later rubs off in the fall when the antlers are full grown (it gets itchy and and they rub it off on trees and anything else they can find). In the winter the antlers just fall off... which was probably how this one was recovered for the door handle.

-Erin

Re: All along the flow…somewhere in Wyoming

Dude,

This pic is just outside of Cody, WY.
